Love In Doylestown: Couples Spotlight

By Dana Roberts • The Cardinal Contributing Writer

During the month of love, we thought it’d be fun to learn a bit about couples living or working in Doylestown, including the couple that created the Cardinal!

JODI AND RICHARD

How they met: Richard was making a presentation to a group in Yardley and Jodi was in attendance.

Years together: 11. They first became business associates, then friends, then best friends, then dated and married in August of 2021.

Proposal story: Their normal Sunday morning routine is to go for a long ride and have a debrief of the week. While driving, they read a book and talk about how to improve their relationship and family, friends and business. Last summer, they made a stop at Lake Galena and walked to the old wooden pier early in the morning. Richard got down on one knee (giveaway) and proposed. He didn’t want Jodi to forget his pledge, so he wrote it out and gave it to her.

Kids and pets: 4 wonderful children: Erica, Evan, Cole and Logan, a 5-year-old granddaughter, Brooklyn, and two grand dogs JoJo and Krueger.

Show they’re watching: A great music documentary, and on Sunday the Eagles.

Mutual hobbies: Working out, reading and discussing content, cooking, and usually Richard getting crushed in Scrabble.

Favorite date spot in town: Domani Star
